Job: Senior Consultant Chemical Policy, Index Environmental

Responsible for the development and implementation of chemicals policy at a European and UK level for government and industry.

Do you require skills in risk assessment and risk management of dangerous chemicals and the fate and effects of chemicals in the environment and on human health.

 Their Chemical Policy Team delivers a wide variety of challenging and high profile projects for public and private sector clients.

They are integral to decision making of their clients, who include European Commission, European Chemicals Agency, UK Government and key private sector organisations.

Due to the continued success of our  clients business, they are looking to expand the team with these key appointments.

If successful you would be focussing on the following areas: • Developing and implementing European and UK Government chemicals policy instruments

• Helping companies develop strategies for implementation of key chemicals legislation, especially REACH.

• Advising on risk assessment and risk management of chemicals You will manage high profile projects on working with multi-disciplinary teams of scientists, policy specialists and economists.

You will also be involved with business development activities and develop proposals for new projects.

First Degree
BSc Science, engineering or related or equivalent

Second Degree
MSc (subject to first degree) relevant environmental
Focus or equivalent

You will have a demonstrable track record in chemicals policy, risk assessment/risk management of chemicals as well as an excellent knowledge of current legislation and policy developments on chemicals.
