Position: Senior Building Performance Consultant
Salary: £32K - £36k plus benefits

Building Sciences are a growing consultancy practice who specialise in building fabric performance, particularly with reference to energy efficiency. We offer services relating to the building envelope (insulation, air-tightness, weatherproofing) including design review, inspection and testing services. Additionally, Building Sciences provide consultancy services relating to carbon emissions calculations for compliance with current legislation applicable to new and existing property. Building Sciences are a member of the RSK group of companies who specialise in all environmental management processes.

Due to company growth Building Sciences are looking to recruit a Senior Building Performance Consultant to work around the Northants/Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire area. Suitable candidates will need to demonstrate at least 5 years experience of medium to large sized commercial buildings, ideally specialising in design co-ordination/package management of building fabric works. Some experience of building services would also be an advantage.

Future opportunities may also extend to carbon management processes and assessments of existing buildings as well as new builds.

Responsibilities

Specific duties will include: · providing our clients with design advice for major commercial and residential projects with regards to the building fabric design. Particular emphasis is placed upon Building Regulations (Part L) compliance and associated aspects of building energy efficiency. · overseeing a number of projects from design, through specialist detailing to construction, with regular site inspections at later stages such that successful testing/certification can be provided at completion.
