Scott Wilson Mining provides services to the mining industry at all stages of project development from exploration and resource evaluation through finance and development to permitting, operation, closure and rehabilitation of mine sites.

About the Role

We're looking for a Principal Environmental Scientist to become the discipline leader for environmental science in the Mining Group, and to develop and mentor environment staff.

You'll be a key member of the Mining Group with responsibility for the delivery of environmental engineering services to government and industry clients, and members of your group will frequently be part of a multi-disciplined team supporting overall project evaluation and development consultancy services. You'll work on projects around the world and will be required to assess projects in a wide range of international jurisdictions ranging from developed to undeveloped countries.

About You

You must have extensive progressive experience in mining project environmental engineering and management, including: environmental assessment, environmental management systems design, project closure and reclamation, mine project permitting, impact mitigation strategies, mine site closure techniques and technologies, and social impact assessment.

You should also have experience in mine project assessment and evaluation against international standards including the Equator Principles.
