My client is a major environmental and engineering consultancy with offices throughout the UK. They are a well establish consultancy with a comprehensive service portfolio and applied experience in a wide range of markets
The Role
Due to an increase in work load my clients requires an Associate Director within the economics department. This is an excellent opportunity to play a leading role within my client’s Environmental Policy Team, developing and directing client projects in the public sector and supporting corporate clients in their strategic response to climate change and significant regulatory developments.
The Candidate
To be successful you will have:
• BSc/BA Economics or relevant technical environmental qualification
• MSc/MA (subject to first degree) relevant environmental/social or economics qualification
• A good understanding of the role of economics in the development of legislation and regulation
• Experience in economic valuation of both market and non-market goods
• Economic analysis such as cost benefit and multi-criteria analysis
• Market-based instruments and assessing impacts on competition and competitiveness.
• Experience in econometric modelling and knowledge of some of the key current policies such as the EU Emissions Trading Scheme, the Water Framework Directive, or REACH, would be of particular value.
