- Salary: £45k-£55k plus car + benefits
A unique opportunity has arisen within URS for a Tecnical Director / Principal Geotechnical Engineer to join our London Headquaters in Wimbledon.
URS is a global major player in engineering and environmental solutions and our clients include industrials, oil and gas organisations, property and development companies and large public sector clients.
Prime responsibilities will include: • Leading the operations of a developing team in London • Managing, motivating, developing and grow a small staff team of geotechnical engineers and work closely with other senior managers in the office • Contributing to the development of a business development plan and identify/develop new market opportunities as well as maximising opportunities from current client base • Leading in the negotiation of fee requirements and prepare proposals and tenders • Ensuring the technical accuracy of the geotechnical group • Directing projects and approving work of the team.
The successful candidate will have a relevant qualification in civil engineering or geology as well as a proven track record in managing geotechnical projects within a consultancy environment. Excellent staff and project management skills are essential as well as first class communication and networking skills.
