Job: Sustainability & Green Buildings Consultant, Eden Recruitment Ltd

Your remit will be varied and will include: Project Management – you will coordinate and deliver guidance and assistance to building owners, design and construction project teams regarding green building concepts and technologies. You will manage documentation and provide design assistance in the form of consulting and technical support to the client and project team from concept design through to the final certification process. You will also contribute to pre-appraisal workshops introducing the concept of green buildings to clients and project teams and help produce reports. Furthermore you will contribute to business development – assisting with bids, developing client relationships and contribute to plans for new growth areas. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of LEED, BREEAM, Greenstar or other international green building standards; a good working knowledge in some technical areas of building design and construction, MEP design, energy efficiency, renewables, energy modelling, water use planning, storm water management, site and landscape strategies, green building materials, indoor environmental quality, and related green building and sustainable design topics; experience of Environmental & Social Impact Assessments, Environmental or Energy Management Plans and Sustainability Assessment. It is likely you will be educated to degree level and will hold a relevant professional qualification / membership. Strong project management and communication skills are essential. Candidates are also expected to be proficient in the use of MS Excel, MS Project, MS PowerPoint and will be (or will become) a LEED Accredited Professional.
