Job: Geotechnical Engineer – Warwickshire, Penguin Recruitment Ltd

A large consultancy with an office in Warwickshire is recruiting for a Geotechnical Engineer to join them as soon as possible. The successful applicant must have previous Geotechnical experience and have a relevant engineering based qualification.

The main sectors that you will be working in are transport, residential, and also Brownfield developments.

Duties

• Site walkovers and investigations - collecting samples of soil and rocks along with geotechnical data relating to the nature and composition of the ground conditions encountered

• Foundation assessments, trial pitting, borehole logging, slope stability analysis

• Interpreting data to write concise technical reports

• Supervising the activities of other site workers

• Liaising with clients and encouraging business development

Typical projects

You will be working on a range of medium sized projects which will be based mainly around the Midlands region. You should be capable of working alone or as part of a team. Experience of working within the transport / water / Brownfield sectors is essential
