An excellent consultancy with an office in the West Midlands is recruiting for a Geotechnical Engineer to join their team asap. The successful applicant must have experience of Geotechnical design and must have previous consultancy experience.

Salary is dependent upon experience but will be competitive, and there is also a great benefits package offered by this company who are regarded as one of the best in the industry.

Qualification - BSc, MSc Civil Engineering / Geotechnical Engineering / Engineering Geology or related degree

Experience - 2 Years +

Duties / Skills

You will be working on a range of Geotechnical projects and must have had experience of the duties listed below

• Site investigations and walkovers – investigating composition of rocks, soils and ground conditions

• Supervising site investigation team

• Design of earthworks, foundations, slopes and retaining structures

• Interpretation of data to form written reports

• You must have a knowledge of relevant legislation which is in use in the UK

Typical projects

You will be working on a range of exciting projects which are in a variety of sectors including residential, commercial, transport, infrastructure and a number of projects within the environmental sector. These projects will mainly be based in the West Midlands area but at times the role will involve travel to other parts of the UK and possibly abroad.
