GRADUATE TO INTERMEDIATE GEO-ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER - WARRINGTON

£16,000-£24,000 + Pool cars + 23 Days Holiday + Superb industry training

Penguin is currently recruiting for one of the leading Geo-environmental contractor/consultancy organisations in the Northwest of England. From their modern and attractive offices in Warrington they are seeking to recruit two more Graduate level engineers.

Joining a strong multi-disciplinary team, the graduate engineers will initially be working on basic desk study and site investigtion work, to develop your site engineering geology and ground investigation skills. From there, there wil be a mixture of practical and course-based trainig to expand competencies in areas such as interpretative reporting, the design of intrusive investigations, geochemical risk assessments and remediation engineering. There is also the option is persuing your career in a more geology and geotechnics-biased direction.

Duties

Desk studies for geotechnical and geo-environmental investigations

Design of intrusive phase II investigations

Environmental monitoring

Geotechnical investigation work

Increasing focus on interpretative work

Requirements: Candidates need a strong academic background in Geology or Environmental science, ideally at MSc level.

Typical projects

Our client is a organisation that has both contractor and consultancy aspects, and can therefore offer a turn-key approach to brown-field remediation projects.
