A leading consultancy with an office in Cambridgeshire is recruiting for a Geotechnical Engineer to join there expanding team. The successful applicant must have previous Geotechnical experience and have an MSc in a relevant subject. This is an excellent opportunity with a great starting salary and benefits package for the successful applicant.

Qualification - MSc / BSc Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Geology or related degree

Duties

• Carrying out desk studies to examine the historical conditions of a particular site

• Site investigations and walkovers

• Foundation assessments, borehole logging

• Supervising other project workers during field work

• Liaising with clients and encouraging business development

• Writing technical reports based on data gathered from the investigation

Typical projects

You will be working on projects in and around the South East and these will amongst other things involve flood protection & management and other water based projects. Previous experience of working on similar projects would be a distinct advantage.
