Salary: £30,000-40,000

Our client is looking for an outstanding individual with an excellent track record in the management of ecological survey and assessment projects for the consulting industry.

You will be enthusiastic, experienced, motivated to a make a difference and will share our client focused philosophy of delivering high quality professional consultancy services.

Role and Responsibilities:

In liaison with the Technical Director, your specific roles and responsibilities will include:
Managing or taking a lead role in major projects, particularly those involving survey and assessment of protected species.
Developing the capacity of the terrestrial ecology survey and assessment group.
Providing expert technical input into survey and assessment.
Developing and implementing mitigation and monitoring plans.

Employment criteria:

A sound knowledge of terrestrial ecology in Britain.
Experience of applying this knowledge to projects, preferably within an environmental consultancy framework and preferably specifically in relation to protected species (possession of appropriate licences would be an advantage).
Experienced in the design and implementation of mitigation plans for protected species.
A record of managing teams and delivering contracts on time and on budget.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
A good working knowledge of environmental law.
A Degree in biological sciences or a related subject and a member of a professional body (IEEM).
Current UK driving licence.
A willingness to work throughout the UK
