An opportunity has arisen with my client in Scotland for an individual with proven experience in the geotechnical engineering sector to assume more responsibility and take the next step in their career. This is an exciting role that will allow the successful candidate to get involved with contracts management and ensuring that projects are completed according to schedule and budget constraints. The successful candidate will be well organised with excellent communication skills with ideally some prior experience of project management. A full UK driving licence is also an essential requirement due to the amount of site based work.
Qualification – Ideally degree educated in a relevant subject such as Geology etc.
Experience – Proven geotechnical site investigation background with ideally some experience of project management
Salary - £22-£30k
Company – Ground Engineering Contractor
Staff - 200
Duties
• Supervise site investigations.
• Work closely with Site Foremen ensuring they are fully briefed prior to work commencing.
• Compile contract documents in accordance with individual requirements.
• Ensure work is completed according to original plans and design (knowledge of contract drawings would be beneficial for this).
• Report directly to the business unit Director on a weekly and monthly basis.

This is an exciting opportunity to be an integral member of one of the UK’s leading ground engineering companies. You will mainly be working on projects around Scotland, however you will also be required to work elsewhere in the UK for short periods including secondments to other offices.
