- Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 + Pension
As part of their rapid expansion my client is seeking a Unit Manager and office leader to cover its East and South East of England regional operation based in Kent.
The successful candidate should have extensive geo-environmental and management experience and possess the relevant qualifications. Geotechnical experience would also be advantageous.
The ideal candidate will be driven and naturally able to inspire and motivate others. The role requires a flexible approach to combining leadership, technical tasks and customer development in a growing unit and with other divisions within the company. The position also includes unit budgetary and financial accountabilities.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to deliver work to a high quality, meet demanding deadlines and maintain focused effort when working alone or leading a team.
Suitable candidates will be practically minded and possess excellent report writing and reviewing skills with attention to detail and accuracy, good computer skills and a sound understanding of geo-environmental investigation and assessment principles. Good knowledge of BS5930 and BS10175 is required, plus an understanding of the UK contaminated land and planning framework.
Salary is negotiable and includes a competitive benefits package.
