Job: Senior Ecologist, Beresford Blake Thomas

SYNOPSIS: 

My client’s ecology team boasts a strong profile within the company and due to increased demand for its services it is seeking to expand through the recruitment of experienced ecologists.

With a team of 14 permanent staff spread over their regional offices they provide a comprehensive range of services to a diverse mix of clients. They are a dynamic group of professionals that enjoy the work they do, and we seek, through a non competitive environment, to assist each other and to share our knowledge and experience across the team. In addition to the provision of high quality ecology consulting services you will be expected to develop your project and staff management skills and will be encouraged to establish trusted client relationships. The development of your own areas of expertise will be encouraged. The Senior Ecologist position will typically be held by an individual with substantial experience and full membership of the IEEM.

TECHNICAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES: The successful candidate will have a strong track record of consultancy work with extensive habitat/species survey and reporting experience, including Ecological Impact Assessment. You will also be able to apply your ecological knowledge to provide practical solutions. You will have some experience of project and staff management. Specialist expertise/licenses for protected species would be desirable. BSc Ecology, Biological Science (or equivalent) essential; MSc or similar is desirable; Full membership of IEEM, CEnv desirable; full driving license.

SALARY/BENEFITS: Salary would be commensurate with experience, with an attractive benefits package including car or cash allowance.
