Job: Sustainable Development& Regeneration Group Manager, Eden Recruitment Ltd

The purpose of this role is to deliver business plans, objectives and targets and provide effective management on a day-to-day basis for the land quality and contaminated land assessment function within the Sustainable Development and Regeneration group based in the South region. Reporting into the Consulting Group Director the CGM will support in delivering the regional budget, targets and objectives through providing team management through staff coaching, resource management and recruitment as well as delivery of personal sales activity. Responsibilities include amongst others: providing technical guidance and support to land assessment and regeneration related projects, managing and resolving day-to-day people management situations, e.g. performance, development, assist the Consulting Group Director in delivery of group budget and the production of management reporting and developing and implementing a results orientated environment where people are rewarded for their contribution to the business. Furthermore you will work closely with the local Commercial Manger/Director and Technical Manager/Director focussing on business development activities, ensure that the regional profile and the services within are appropriately positioned in the market and that new areas of business are constantly sought and developed. Assist in ensuring quality of service and client satisfaction. It is likely that you will be educated to degree level (or equivalent) in an Environmental Science orientated degree (e.g. geology, geography, environmental geoscience etc) and ideally hold a relevant degree. You should have strong leadership, communication and negotiation skills, have a good understanding/knowledge of financial matters including budgets and have strong project and people management skills.
