Entec is a major environmental and engineering consultancy with over 800 staff and associates across a national network of offices. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced EIA practitioner to develop their career. Dependent upon experience, the work will involve leading or managing the preparation of scoping reports and environmental statements (ESs) for an exciting portfolio of EIA projects covering a variety of business sectors; much of Entec’s EIA work is for high profile clients.
In addition, a key aspect of your work will be to develop business in the field of EIA, both with new and existing Entec clients. The job is also likely to include staff management. For candidates with a technical specialism in one of the topics that is covered by EIA, the job will include direction of the work carried out on this topic as part of the preparation of scoping reports and ESs (ideally, the preference would be for the successful candidate to have ecological expertise).
You will be degree qualified and membership of IEMA would be beneficial. Typically we would expect you to have around five year's experience including: directing/managing the preparation of scoping reports and ESs. Preferably you will also have experience in staff management, client liaison and business development, and in leading the preparation of one of the technical chapters that need to be included in ESs . A good communicator and team worker, you will have a high level of both self motivation and attention to detail in report writing/review and technical work more generally. You will also need an ability to write high quality reports and to identify where the quality of work produced by others needs to be improved.
Appointment will be considered at Senior/Principal Consultant or Associate Director level.
Entec offers competitive salary and benefits packages, along with excellent training and development opportunities.
