Consultant: Contaminated Land & Remediation- Bristol
A position has arisen within the Bristol contaminated land and remediation team of this global consultancy. Reporting directly to the Principal consultant you will be responsible for providing project management skills and guidance to the team. An excellent opportunity to develop contaminated land and remedial capabilities.
Qualification: You will be educated to BSc or MSc level in contaminated land, earth science, environmental geoscience, environmental science or similar. You will need to have a full driving license for this role as travelling to sites will be an integral aspect of the job.
Experience: It is essential that you have proven experience of working for a consultancy previously and have a thorough working knowledge of project managing site investigations, forming conceptual models, undertaking risk assessments and a solid background in contaminated land statutory.
Salary: £neg
Duties:
Project management of site investigations
Designing and implementing remediation packages; including traditional, design and build and also use of alternative technologies in remediation
Management of budget control
Management of your own clients therefore client liaison and bid winning skills are essential
Thorough understanding of current legislation, health and safety requirements and quality assurance procedures
Formulation of conceptual models
Undertaking risk assessments; groundwater and human health

This position will enable the development of conceptual modelling and design, design of remediation, development of health and safety skills along with honing project management responsibilities eg budgetary control, procurement of sub-contractors.
