Environmental Scientist/ Project Manager- Cheltenham

Qualifications: This role will suit someone with a BSc or MSc in environmental science, environmental geoscience, earth science or geology. Candidates will preferably be chartered or working their way towards chartered status although this is by no means essential.
Experience: It is essential that you have a proven technical background in geo-environmental engineering ideally coupled with prior consultancy experience. The most important prerequisite is that you are a confident and capable engineer with a willingness to develop and grow this already thriving team. You will have excellent communication skills and will be happy to manage this established department.
Salary: Commensurate with experience but circa £40,000
Duties:
• Geo-environmental site investigations, supervision and planning through all stages
• Geo-environmental risk evaluations
• Ensuring projects adhere to current UK legislation
• Pre-development of green and brownfield sites
• Aiding in new site acquisition and business development
• Frequent client/ contractor liaison
• Budgeting and costing of projects
Typical Projects:
• This medium sized engineering consultancy are involved in a mixture of geotechnical and geo-environmental projects throughout the Midlands and the South West regions. Renowned for their innovative drilling rig technology they are currently involved in a variety of commercial and brownfield site regeneration projects along with residential developments. With circa 110 staff they have recently moved to new, larger premises and are set to continue in their steady expansion and as such have an opportunity for a new member to join their friendly team. This is a genuine opportunity for an experienced consultant looking to further their career in the field.
