Our client is a large environmental company whose strength is the diversity, variety and creative of its people built up over 60 years in consultancy. Our client deals with a broad range of skills, which in turn has allowed them to build a comprehensive service portfolio and applied experience in a wide range of markets.

The Role:

Reporting to a Waste Group Director/Associate Director, this role requires a strong track record in project management and managing client relations, provision of sound waste technical advice, team leadership and staff management. You will have waste management experience in, ideally, both the Public and Private Sectors.

Consultancy experience will be beneficial. You will require working with other Product Group staff in delivering multi disciplinary waste projects. Strong project management and communication skills are essential and you will need to develop a clear understanding of the range of services that our client promotes.

You will need to demonstrate high technical expertise and a high awareness of the absolute necessity for technical quality and customer satisfaction. The ability to coach junior staff and to review and be technically responsible for the quality of their work is also desirable. You will also be required to demonstrate a successful track record of supporting the winning and delivering of similar projects to time and budget.

Experience:

To be able to undertake this role successfully you would require approximately eight years or more experience of dealing with waste strategy, waste contract procurement, waste legislation and waste treatment issues, but it will be the breadth and depth rather than the length of your experience which will be assessed. Ideally you will have experience of working in a consultancy environment, but experience gained with a local authority or waste contractor will be considered.

Educations and Skills: • BSc Environmental or Engineering • MSc Environmental or Engineering • Consultancy Skills • Team worker • Flexible • Valid driving licence

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established but expanding waste management team. Our client provides an environment that fully liberates the potential of their people, encouraging them to develop themselves and their careers alongside the business objectives.
