Team Leader - Geotechnics Midlands

JOB PURPOSE:
To lead a team, developing a comprehensive regional footprint for the environment and geotechnical services in the Midlands

RESPONSIBILTIES:

Secure new work in accordance with the budget and business development plan at appropriate fee levels.
Manage the geotechnical group business at the Birmingham office so as to achieve agreed sales and profit targets.
Work to build a geotechnical team working with the established Environmental Teams in Birmingham and the Midlands, appoint, develop and retain high calibre professional staff, to expand capabilities.
Build strong relationships with other Group Leaders and Consulting Group Managers within the company
Establish and maintain high technical standards.
Manage the delivery of projects through resourcing and planning and ensure customer satisfaction.

PERFORMANCE MEASURES:

Minimise risks to the business through diligent commercial management.
Apply the Company’s Health & Safety procedures and ensure employee welfare
Apply the Company’s Business Management System, including those components relating to Quality Assurance.
Liaise with their Marketing team regarding business development support, promotional materials, corporate hospitality, events etc.
Provide reports required to the Consulting Group Manager and the General Manager of the company
