This is a super opportunity for an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join an established team and support our Geotechnical Manager. You will apply your geotechnical expertise to a full range of projects with occasional wider New Zealand and Australasian exposure. You will be involved with market development, client management and the growth of the geotechnical team within Auckland region which will provide you with the exposure to leadership that will assist you in future promotions. You will be heavily involved with the early stages of projects including preparing tender submissions, design management and technical review and will hold other project leadership responsibilities including financial management, programming, quality control, and technical input. The range of projects is wide and includes infrastructure, civil structures, land development and the water sector.

You’ll be BE qualified or similar and either be Chartered or near chartered and possibly hold a further qualification within the Geotechnical discipline. Due to the significant client liaison, you will need excellent communication skills and be motivated to pursue your career further within the company. You will already have experience with mentoring other staff and possess true leadership capability which will allow you to become a key member of staff in the future. The above person description describes our perfect applicant; however, we are realistic in our search for our new Senior Geotechnical Engineer. We are experienced with recruiting staff from other international locations and will be prepared to assist with relocation where appropriate. Although there is significant local legislation with which to become familiar, we know this will take some time to master. As an employer we are accredited with New Zealand Immigration which, assuming that you pass your medical and can prove you are of good character, will ensure that your application for VISA is fast tracked.
