Job: Geotechnical Technician - Auckland, Catalyst Recruitment Ltd

An opportunity has arisen for a Geotechnical Engineering Technician with an established reputation and technical expertise in the geotechnical consulting services field. You will be responsible for the supervision of soil, water and air testing regimes on Greenfield and Brownfield sites which will often include sample collection and lab testing. You will need to have established a solid track record for at least 2 years within this sector. The role entails significant site work and travelling around the Greater Auckland region and involves getting your hands dirty.

You will need a full driver’s licence (an international drivers licence will suffice for the first 12 months). You will enjoy the freedom of outside work and will be a trustworthy individual who can plan their own workload to ensure project targets are met. You will possess a suitable technical qualification within your chosen field and strong communication skills to ensure you work well with the team members who will utilise your services.

We are experienced with recruiting staff from other international locations and will be prepared to assist with relocation where appropriate. Although there is significant local legislation with which to become familiar, we know this will take some time to master. As an employer we are accredited with New Zealand Immigration which, assuming that you pass your medical and can prove you are of good character, will ensure that your application for VISA is fast tracked.
