EIA Consultant –London Salary:- £30k

As part of its on-going work on one of the UK's largest infrastructure development projects, this international consultancy has an immediate requirement for experienced environmental professionals of varied experience to join their growing team. Reporting directly to the Managing Principal, the roles will be based full time on site in the Reading area.

Responsibilities will include:- · Project - to assist or lead the production of Environmental Statements and provide technical input to individual projects' environmental works as they develop · Rapid integration into a large team working to manage the delivery of high quality Environmental Statements to support major planning applications and associated follow on works including Construction Phase Environmental Compliance and Management activity · Management of technical inputs from a diverse team of specialists · Marketing & Business Development - ongoing identification of additional works and generation of new proposal opportunities. · Ensuring that Health and Safety issues are addressed throughout the life of the project · Being familiar with the company's quality management system and ensure its effective implementation by the team for all projects Position Objectives · To deliver environmental services of the highest standard as part of a large-scale development project · Ensure Client satisfaction and continued work through implementation of project tasks to achieve objectives Minimum Requirements Knowledge · Good working knowledge of the UK Planning System and inter-relationship with the EIA Regulations . Experience of delivering high quality Environmental Statements for contentious projects Skills · Excellent communicator ability to manage multiple projects and communicate with multiple teams both during the planning and design phases and the construction phases of projects . Ability to rapidly integrate into a large team of specialists including architects, design engineers, planners, & logistics consultants · Excellent Project Management skills · Ability to spot commercial opportunities to expand the company's role on the project and convert these opportunities into fee earning work covering all disciplines Experience . Experience of communicating at a high level with internal and external stakeholders · Experience of construction phase environmental management Qualifications · First & second degree in Environmental Impact Assessment or related subject or equivalent · Full Driving Licence
