The role

Our client is looking for a Contaminated Land Scientist to be based in either the South East or their Bristol office with work on site when required.

The main responsibilities of this post will include:

• The preparation of conceptual models • Data evaluation (including statistical analysis) • Human health risk assessment tools • Report preparation.

Requirements

Successful candidates will:

• Be qualified with BSc and MSc degrees in geology, hydrogeology, biology, geography, environmental science or other related field (or equivalent) • Candidates should have strong, relevant contaminated land experience (Phase 1 + Phase 2, including site work) • You should have experience of developing conceptual models using the Source-Pathway-Receptor methodology and basic working knowledge of risk assessment tools • Familiarity with Part 2A and other associated contaminated land guidance and willingness to work on site, as required, are an advantage • Should be enthusiastic and work well within a team and also independently • Have good verbal and written communicational skills • Applicants for this position must have the right to work in the UK without restriction.
