Job: Senior Acoustic Engineer, Beresford Blake Thomas

The noise section is part of an Environmental Team, which in turn is part of a broader Technical Advisory Services team providing a range of specialist advice on civil engineering and development schemes. The work is primarily geared toward various aspects of highway design, construction and maintenance although a broader range of issues relating to civil engineering and the environment are often encountered.

The role is based in either Bristol or Southampton office. Regular reporting to Southampton Office would be required if the successful candidate were to take the role in the South west.

You will be required to assist with:

• Calculation, prediction and assessment of traffic noise;
• Calculation, prediction, assessment and mitigation of noise and vibration from civil engineering construction, industrial sites and maintenance operations;
• Noise measurement surveys;
• Preparation of noise input towards environmental assessments;
• Preparation of reports;
• Project Management and mentoring of junior staff; and,
• Business development.

Ideally you have a second degree in acoustics/vibration and you are member of IAO.
