A leading environmental group are expanding their environmental section in Scotland in 2008. They undertake full environmental assessments for a range of projects, with strong ecological expertise and a large amount of ecological projects. Their main clients are currently the Environment Agency / SEPA and water companies with a smaller amount of private developers.

These groups are now seeking an EIA/Ecological Consultant with around extensive project management experience. Previous employment with an environmental consultancy is preferred. Salary will depend on experience but likely to range between £26-32k. Benefits include private health care, pension, paid subscription to 2 recognised institutes and training.

The successful applicant would work on a range of projects; from scoping stage, site survey work, environmental/ecological impact assessment including report writing, licence/consent applications, and supervision at construction stage. There would also be the opportunity to be involved with the financial management of projects.

Key experience preferred: ecological survey skills (in particular protected species), environmental impact assessment, excellent report writing skills, membership of IEEM, CIWEM, and/or IEMA
