Job Description A global engineering and environmental consultancy is looking for an experienced Environmental Consultant to join their existing team in the Birmingham office and be part of the Environmental Sciences team.

About the Role • Manage, undertake and take ownership of environmental site assessments • Control the entire project cycle • Production of commercial proposals for Phase 1 and Phase 2 site assessments • Project budget management • Client liaison • Report writing • Interpret the findings of site assessments in the context of the UK regulatory framework and to develop outline remedial strategies for sites. • Provide appropriate supervision/mentoring to junior staff

About You • Have a BSc in Geoscience or a related discipline • Ideally you will educated to Masters level in a related subject • You should be experienced in managing site assessments throughout the project cycle • experience of undertaking proposal writing • Experience of development of site investigation scopes, soil and groundwater sampling, contractor management and report writing • Knowledge of UK regulatory framework and guidance is essential. • Knowledge of remedial techniques preferred. • Geotechnical experience would also be useful.
