CAPITAL PROJECTS ENGINEER

c£50,000 plus benefits

Highly challenging new role which is integral to the continuing success of this fast growing and highly regarded entrepreneurial business thriving at the forefront of the waste treatment sector.  New Earth Solutions combines pioneering technology with top class capabilities to design, build and operate state of the art facilities throughout the UK.  Incorporated in 2002, the business has evolved dynamically from an embryonic start-up through R&D to a rapid roll out programme.  In the last year the company’s estimated market value has grown from £5m to c£50m. 

With initial plans to reach at least thirty sites over the next few years, we are looking for a high calibre Capital Projects Engineer to manage the substantial multi site investment programme as we roll out new facilities across the UK.  The successful candidate will be responsible for driving each project from feasibility study to completion providing comprehensive technical and commercial leadership and ensuring that each new site is appropriately costed and that budgets are carefully controlled and monitored.

This will be an extremely demanding role requiring huge resources of drive and energy as the business rolls out multiple sites across the country in a very short period of time.   The ideal candidate must be a very commercially driven, highly experienced and qualified senior engineer with previous experience of managing many substantial building projects from concept to completion.  He/she will need to demonstrate exceptionally strong project and people management skills together with the ability to plan and co-ordinate several concurrent projects involving different customers and planning bodies. 

Previous experience within the waste management sector will be of particular interest but alternative relevant experience of managing other multi million pound construction projects, especially if this has been gained in an entrepreneurial and fast growth business, will also be carefully considered.
