Position: Senior Ecologist
Salary: £25-35,000 + Pension

This leading landscape architecture firm seeks an ecologist to support existing and future projects with expertise in protected species surveys.

The position will be demanding and highly rewarding, with an opportunity for an ecologist to move forward and develop in the ecological consultancy market. You will need to be flexible, be able to apply yourself to a wide range of ecological projects (Phase 1, ecological surveys, EIA, etc.).

Experience & qualifications

- Experience with other protected species, notably badgers, breeding birds and water voles is desirable. - An upper second degree classification in ecology, environmental biology, or similar degree programme. - Experience in UK ecological assessments, and understanding of UK and European nature legislation is essential. - Experience in Phase I ecological assessments desirable. - A higher postgraduate qualification (MSc, Postgraduate certificate) an advantage, but not essential.
