Job: Senior EIA Consultant, Beresford Blake Thomas

Job Purpose My client requires ambitious environmental consultants to join their exciting new Land and Environment business unit. With almost 300 environmental specialists they offer an impressively comprehensive range of services to developers and infrastructure asset managers including land assembly, site investigation and surveying, sustainability appraisals, EIA, and planning application support. Their planning and consultation teams are backed up by multi disciplinary technical support with services as diverse as land referencing, GIS and mapping, surveying, transport planning, geotechics, hydrogeology, flood defence, contaminated land assessment and remediation, risk assessment, sustainable development, ecology, landscape, noise, air and water quality. They require experienced environmental consultants seeking to prove themselves in a project management role responsible for managing the delivery of a range of services including SEA, EIA, environmental policy advice, sustainability appraisals, due diligence, corporate environmental management and auditing This interesting and challenging role will involve assisting with marketing and proposal writing, managing multi-disciplinary project teams and sub-consultants, mentoring junior staff, ensuring client expectations are fully satisfied and managing project finances.

Qualifications You will preferably have an MSc in an environmental discipline backed up with significant experience within consultancy across a range of business sectors. You will have demonstrably good report-writing and client liaison skills. You will also have an up-to-date knowledge of UK environmental legislation and outstanding communication skills in order to lead and develop people from a wide range of backgrounds.
