Position: Landfill Gas Specialist
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000

A new and unique opportunity within one of the world's leading waste management companies. This will involve responsibility for various key sites within the Essex region, management of a dedicated team and the chance to progress rapidly throughout the organisation.

Maintaining environmental compliance with legislation and company environmental policy on operation and closed landfill sites with a particular regard to landfill gas management

Responsibilities include: · To assimilate environmental data and interpret trends and report both internally and externally to regulatory bodies · To assist in delivering environmental compliance in relation to landfill gas and other closely related areas · To provide assistance in the delivery of environmental projects and support to operational, non-technical and other staff · To assist in maximising revenue from landfill gas utilisation projects and liaise with sub-contractors · Liaison with regulatory bodies (e.g. Environment Agency) and landfill operational staff · To maintain an up-to-date knowledge of appropriate legislation/guidance
