Environmental Project Manager- London or the South East Salary: £35k-55k

Our client require a Project Manager / snr Engineer with a strong Civil / Environmental background to join a small team. You will need to have expertise in contaminated land remediation, environmental site survey and assessment, and environmental risk analysis. You must be conversant in UK and EU regulations and directives, particularly those which apply to contaminant land and remediation protocols.

The role requires experience in carrying out studies, design, preparation of contract documents and the supervision of construction of environmental engineering projects in the UK and overseas. You would be expected to work independently with a minimum of supervision, and also to lead or support a team of diverse engineering and environmental scientists responsible for providing consultancy services to governmental and commercial bodies. There will be a responsibility to supervise junior engineers, or other seconded staff in the execution of work efforts.

The role will also include developing new business with existing and new clients. You must have an outgoing personality and be able to work well with both other team members and also clients.

Required Qualifications / Experience: Chartered Civil or Environmental Engineer / Programme or Project Manager. UK experience required, experience of other EU countries and African countries also beneficial. Knowledge of EU directives and experience with IPPC permitting also essential.
