Position: Senior Geo-Environmental Engineer
Salary: £24,000 - £32,000

Candidates should possess a degree in a relevant subject with relevant project experience. Candidates are required to demonstrate an understanding of land remediation and be able to design and implement site investigations into the chemical and geotechnical issues relating to ground contamination, landfill gas and the protection of controlled waters. Applicants will be able to carry out risk assessments using CLEA and R&D P20 techniques and prepare remediation strategies based on the results.

Previous site investigation and land reclamation experience is essential. Experience and/or knowledge of the development control process, dealing with private sector developers, ideally a working knowledge of house construction and foundation design would be advantageous.

The successful applicant will work within the Environmental Section and will liaise with Geotechnical Engineers, Engineering Geologists and Hydrologists in other sections to deliver a co-ordinated land reclamation service to developers.
