They are currently recruiting for a senior technician in Kent, to supervise a team of technicians undertaking various laboratory tests throughout the laboratory on a variety of materials, including soils, sub-bases, aggregates and blacktop. Main duties, responsibilities and authorities Supervision of a team of technicians in the preparation of test samples and subsequent testing of samples to industrial standards. Scheduling of working activities, working patterns and training for team. Liaise with Laboratory Manager and Section Manager on work schedules Liaise with clients on progression of their testing requirements Applicants must have: 3 yrs proven technical and industry experience obtained Full and proper understanding of Quality and Health and Safety issues Full and proper understanding of testing standards Able to maintain client confidentiality Ability to motivate self and team members to achievement of goals Reliability Extensive and in-depth knowledge of all disciplines across laboratory divisions i.e. soils, sub-bases, aggregates and blacktop Report writing Membership of professional institute applied for Full understanding of QHSE Former, relevant technical qualification held such as HND/HNC For more information on this role please contact Karen Bull on 01256 368585 or karen.bull@resourcegroup.co.uk Ref. 012220
