Salary: £20000 - £27000

Qualifications: BSc in Geology, Civil Engineer, Engineering Geology. A post graduate degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology , Soil Mechanics, Foundation Engineering or similar would be desirable.

Experience: Experience in the field would be ideal

My client is one of the leading firms in the Uk of consulting Engineers. They were established 80 years ago and in that time they have grown to be a worldwide organisation with more than 1100 staff and a turn over of £50 million. In the UK they have 16 offices with 650 staff.

Duties:

Slope stability

Desk studies

Writing accurate geotechnical reports

Earthworks assessments

Geotechnical design for shallow foundations, piles and retaining walls

Ground investigations

Typical projects

Projects will cover an array of subjects including rail, highways, infrastructure, development with clients and contractors including Highways Agencies, major infrastructure suppliers and Network rail.
