Qualifications: BSc in earth Sciences, Geology or equivalent with preferably an MSc in Geotechnical Engineering, Soil Mechanics or Engineering Geology.

Experience: some experience in the field would be ideal.

They have an established world class client base including government departments, agencies and leading private and public sector organisations. They were established in 1987 and have offices in 35 countries and projects in over 60 countries.

Duties:

Trial pitting

Desk studies

Site investigation

Managing less experienced members of staff

Writing accurate technical reports

Geotechnical design

Typical projects

Recently, my client has been awarded the maintenance and management of the highways in area 12, the North East of England. Further to this, a recent project has been the regeneration of the site near the riverbank in Bath. These are examples of work that you might be carrying out or be involved with.
