Environmental Policy Analyst Wiltshire £35,000 + Excellent Benefits

The Environmental Policy and Management team are providing strategic, economic and regulatory advice to help raise Environmental awareness of Policy to Governments and Regulators or the Environmental Industry.

You will be involved in a wide variety of challenging studies supporting the development of Policy, legislation and regulatory practice and the implementation of Policy within the UK and overseas.

We are seeking highly motivated individuals, able to work within a team environment and using own initiative. Due to the exciting nature of this role you will need to be happy to travel within the UK and overseas.

Requirements;

You should have proven experience in some or all of the flowing;

• Have been involved with the development of new policies and strategies to meet emerging environmental issues, able to identify relevant environmental issues, collate information and data on environment

• Analyse data and develop Environmental assessments and recommendations which are tailored to the requirements of Policy-makers and legislators

• Be able to Identify and comprehend new or revised Environmental laws and regulations. Assess their significance for national and international businesses and markets, and be able to develop appropriate compliance strategies and measures.

• Have provided advice and guidance, data interpretation and data quality assurance activities

• Provided Statistical analysis of Environmental and related data, including compliance assessment and trend detection.

• Estimated the Environmental burden and measures from organisations on greenhouse gas emissions from energy and fuel use, transport, and processes

• Given advice and guidance on Environmental performance data and information reporting

Experience of social policy, public participation and/or sustainable behaviour change would be of particular interest.

• You will ideally have a degree or equivalent in a scientific subject have experience in Policy Development, Policy Analysis or Environmental Economics

• Experience of working closely with customers combined with familiarity of proposal preparation and business development is advantageous

• A clean driving licence is essential together with IT and written & oral communication skills
