Salary:-£60000 - £72000 per annum + Si One of the largest and exciting multidisciplinary environmental consultancies in the UK is activley seeking a EIA Director to head up this expanding team. All employees within the division are given exposure to a wide range of environmental disciplines, including Contaminated Land, Climate Change, Waste, Risk & Asset Management and Compliance & Resource Management.

You will provide commercial leadership to further develop the position of the company in the EIA market, with a view to increasing market share in existing strong sectors (housing, commercial/industrial, defence, waste & mixed use) and to develop a presence in transport and infrastructure. You will provide technical strength and depth in delivery of EIA work, acting as Project Director / Technical Reviewer and mentor to less experienced staff.

You will have broad experience in environmental consultancy, with bias towards EIA / Planning, however other relevant backgrounds considered, particularly property development and construction, provided adequate technical knowledge of EIA can be demonstrated.

You will have specialist knowledge in a relevant technical area such as; ecology, landscape & visual, noise, water, archaeology. The ideal candidate will have Expert Witness experience. Knowledge and experience of transport and infrastructure EIA will be particular advantagous. Any knowledge of Waste, renewable energy and housing sectors will also be desirable.

Planning, EIA and Sustainable Regeneration are key growth areas for the business in the 3 year business plan. As the sucessful candidate you will play a key role in driving these forward and their development opportunities will be limited only by their success in achieving this.

Educational qualifications: First Degree in relevant Planning / Environmental Assessment subject. Relevant MSc / PhD preferred but not essential. Relevant professional memberships an advantage.
