We are seeking an experienced air quality specialist to lead and develop an existing air quality team within our large, dynamic and highly successful environmental planning business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical leadership of the air quality team in London, client development and business management. In addition to this they will assist in the delivery of air quality work undertaken by the team, which includes PPC work and industrial work, EIA component studies, residential assessments, transportation-related assessments, review and assessment work as well as ongoing monitoring studies.

Personal attributes to the successful candidate will include enthusiasm, determination, adaptability, commercial acumen and excellent communication skills. Other skills and qualities required are:

Proven experience and strong technical capability gained within a professional consultancy;
Excellent knowledge of relevant UK and European legislation;
Strong project management, time management and resourcing skills;
Proven experience in business development and financial management of projects from the bid stage;
Expert witness experience is desirable, as the successful candidate will be involved in the presentation of evidence at Public Inquiries where necessary.
