- Contract: Permanent
- Hours: Full Time
- Position: Contaminated Land Consultant
- Salary: Competitive
The Company
Renaissance Regeneration is a small environmental consultancy predominantly involved in the provision of due diligence assessments to the commercial and agricultural property sector. The success of the company is founded on unrivalled customer service and our ability to innovate.
The company has seen significant growth since formation some 4 years ago and is now in a position to expand both in terms of size and scope.
Bury St Edmunds is a thriving medieval market town in the heart of Suffolk. There are good retail and leisure facilities, with much of the town being within walking distance of the office. It is close to Cambridge, and the coast and enjoys good transport links to London.
The Job
The successful candidate will be working with the senior consultant of the company in the preparation of desktop and Phase I assessments. Due to the small size of the company, there will be a good degree of client contact and some opportunity to undertake business development and account management activities.
The company has recently become involved in a related Environmental web-based business which will require some of the employee’s time as a contributor and moderator.
We are offering a competitive graduate salary and genial working environment to the right person.
The Employee
The successful candidate will enjoy communicating through written media and show an enthusiasm and dynamism for the subject. Except in exceptional circumstances, a degree or equivalent in an Environmental related subject will be required. Ideally, this will be supported by some previous office or site-based Environmental Consultancy experience.
Any knowledge of agricultural consultancy or Flood Risk work would tie in well with the company’s current expansion ambitions.
IEMA qualification would also be an advantage, but this can be obtained on the job. The majority of training will initially be undertaken in-house, but the successful candidate will be expected to take an active role in identifying and organising their future professional development programme.
The candidate should have a good understanding of contaminated land issues and the relevant legislation and be able to speak knowledgably on the subject, as well as show an aptitude for new ideas and product development in related fields.
Initial contact and copy of CV to Magnus Willatts. The closing date for applications is 16th May 2008.
