Job: CHP Consultant, AEA

The AEA group, Energy & Environment CHP team provides extensive support to UK Government on CHP and Community Heating policy and practice and we aim to be the consultancy of choice for the UK Government and Public Sector organisations. We have a very strong emphasis on working together as a team, and strive to develop a supportive working environment. 

The role will be based at our offices in Harwell, Oxfordshire and will provide support to meet an increasing demand from Government and Industry in the UK for expertise in assessing CHP and Community Heating Schemes in terms of their technical and economic performance and assessing the policy opportunities for encouraging the uptake of CHP and Community Heating.

Therefore, you will have the technical knowledge to conduct CHP/Community heating feasibility studies and understand Government policies of CHP. You will have demonstrable consultancy experience or member of an evaluation team at a Utilities Company, have an understanding of industrial CHP, in particular steam systems and/or domestic community heating schemes and have knowledge of the market and regulatory framework for CHP in the UK.

In addition, you will need to demonstrate good attention to detail, technical report writing ability, be able to assimilate information quickly and work well under time pressure.
