Job: Associate or Technical Director - Energy, Index Environmental

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and developing our clients Environmental’s energy-related business and for making a significant contribution to the wider their Group initiatives. Particular responsibilities will include:

• Taking forward their Environmental’s Energy business plan

• Representing their Environmental on the their Energy board

• Linking with others in their Environmental, their Energy and the Sustainability Bureau who are active in the energy field

• Leading major bids for energy-related work

• Technically reviewing and overseeing major energy-related projects

• Raising their profile in the energy field

• Developing relationships and new business with major energy-sector clients

The post will ideally be located within one of our offices in Leeds, London or the Midlands, but other locations may be considered depending on circumstances. The candidate will be appointed at either Associate Director or Technical Director level, depending on level of qualifications and experience.

Skills:

The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge of the energy sector and will have specific skills appropriate to their own particular area of expertise (e.g. energy auditing and assessments, energy / carbon reduction programmes, carbon footprinting, sustainable construction, environmental permitting, environmental management systems). Excellent written and communication skills will be required.

Qualifications:

At least a degree-level qualification in a relevant subject and membership of a relevant professional body, such as the Energy Institute.
