Our client is seeking a commercially focussed individual to take a leading role in developing its environmental business in the South. This role offers an exciting opportunity to take on a technical, lead discipline and business development role for their environmental team in London.

Working together with other senior managers the successful candidate will be instrumental in developing the environmental business in London and the south, delivering a range of mainly EIA /SEA and sustainability projects and developing new and existing clients. The ideal candidate will be a commercially oriented individual with an excellent technical ability in EIA and a proven track record in managing significant EIA projects.

The successful candidate will have experience of EIAs for major development projects and have wide background knowledge of planning and environmental law and procedures. As well as EIA experience the ideal candidate will have a particular Specialism such as ecology, planning or landscape etc.

The right person will also be able to take on a management responsibilities and would be expected to contribute to the development and leadership of the environment team in London.

Skills:

As well as EIA experience, the candidate should have a particular specialism such as ecology, planning or landscape etc. Experience of team leadership and mentoring and client/ business development are key to this role

Qualifications:

With a good degree and MSc in Environmental Management (or equivalent) the ideal candidate will be a member of a relevant professional institute (such as IEMA).
