Our client is one of the largest and most successful multi-disciplined consultancies in Europe with offices in over 40 countries worldwide.
The successful candidates will join them with responsibilities for project management, EIA management and co-ordination of renewables planning and environmental work as required. The applicants would join a team experienced in both marine and terrestrial renewables projects whose expertise includes site finding, geotechnical investigation, terrestrial and subsea civil designs, electrical connection and transmission, device performance assessment & verification, planning and EIA, environmental compliance and construction management.
Requirements
The successful candidates will be qualified to at least MSc level in environmental, planning or marine sciences with a proven track record, within industry or consultancy, in at least one of the following areas:
Marine renewables EIA management for offshore wind, wave or tidal projects
Onshore wind farm site development including planning and EIA for greenfield/ brownfield/ community sites
Management of environmental compliance of on or offshore renewables projects or offshore construction support, including CDM Planning Supervisor role
Energy from Waste planning and EIA management
Specialists in wind farm noise assessment, and wind farm landscape and visual assessments who also have broader project management experience are also welcome. Experienced individuals involved in site finding and resource assessments are also invited to apply.
Applicants must have demonstrable project management experience in the renewables sector, including responsibility for H&S, budget management, risk management, schedule management, and dealing with contracts/ bids/ specifications for both clients and subcontractors. Applicants would ideally have experience of both marine consents as well as Town and Country Planning applications, but experience of working in one of these areas is essential.
The posts will suit highly motivated and flexible individuals with a positive attitude to their work who are able to develop business both for themselves and across the company.
Appropriate amount of Relevant Experience required.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will undertake the following tasks:
Project team management including project workload and budgets
Preparation of fee proposals and tender documents
Client and consultee and regulator liaison as well as public exhibitions and meetings
Completion of technical assessments and report writing
Management of EIA process and ES production
Management of marine consents and planning applications
