Our Global Client is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic professional with proven consultancy experience and a broad range of core geo-environmental skills used to evaluate issues associated with ownership and development of contaminated land.

Responsibilities

The role will suit an individual who has a strong technical and commercial background in development and remediation led geo-environmental work, established leadership and management skills and proven application of QRA.

Our projects involve work across all client sectors requiring investigation and design skills and the successful applicant will have experience of working with major clients and on flagship projects.

Requirements

This role requires a wide range of people and project management and technical skills and successful applicants will be able to demonstrate the following technical and business skills:

• Project Management - Play a key coordination and delivery role in major projects and mentoring staff in the delivery of smaller projects. Responsibility for commercial and technical elements of project management and team strategy.

• Extensive Client and Regulatory interface, with responsibilities for technical excellence and commercial success of projects.

• Proposals and Business Development - Oversee and coordinate bids including technical and commercial aspects. Build relationships with clients and potential clients. Contribute to plans for new growth areas.

• Team management - The Team Leader will manage the workload of the team resources, lead in business development and client care in the team and ensure the production of high quality work and technical reports.

• Commercial delivery - The candidate will be required to display commercial awareness in team management, bid submission and project delivery phases of the project life-cycle to ensure the profitability of projects. This will require the management of a team of people to deliver the project, time management and management of the budget for the project.

• Strong geotechnical and/or environmental background experience and skills including understanding quantitative assessment of risk to both human health and controlled waters using current industry standard packages.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to generate and critically review reports;

• Experience of and proven ability to develop risk based remediation schemes and production of detailed specifications.
