Environmental Team Leader

Cambridge

£27,000 - £35,000 + benefits

This global multi-disciplinary consultancy been growing significantly in recent years and are now developing balanced teams where there is demand from their customers in their main offices. As part of this initiative, they are establishing an EIA and water team alongside the landscape and ecology team in our Cambridge office, and wish to recruit a team leader to drive the development.

Job profile

The successful candidate will report formally to the Environment Manager of our Water & Environment division in Cambridge, but on a day-to-day basis will co-operate with the leader of the existing landscape and ecology team in the Highways division to develop new areas of business in the transportation, water and other sectors. The advantages of working alongside an established and experienced team mean that we can consider candidates for this post who have strong team leadership potential but may not have the track record in a responsible position that we would otherwise require.

Candidate specification

 A degree, and probably a postgraduate qualification, in relevant environmental science subjects

 Experience of water and transportation and, particularly, highways projects would be an advantage

 A demonstrable track record in environmental business development

 Experience of working with and management of multidisciplinary teams

 High standards of oral and written communication, including presentations

 A track record of business development and project commercial management

 Excellent IT skills, particularly for presentations and marketing materials

 Willingness to travel and work at various locations within the UK and overseas

 Full driving licence

The Cambridge area boasts excellent lifestyle benefits including good schools and family facilities, low crime and an easy escape to the beautiful surrounding countryside. There is a competitive salary and benefits package in keeping with our clients status as a global multi-disciplinary consultancy.
