The main aim of the post would be to provide high quality Asbestos Consultancy to clients.

Specific duties may include:

Surveys of asbestos in buildings;

Reassessments of asbestos in buildings

Asbestos in air measurement and fibre counting;

Management of health and safety in large asbestos works;

Assist with provision of asbestos awareness training, asbestos briefings, tool box talks and other basic training for working safely with asbestos;

Ensuring appropriate records are maintained;

Liaison with clients, clients’ staff and the clients’ contractors;

Working within the IOM’s UKAS accreditation for sampling and analysis, as appropriate.

Ideally, the successful applicant will have two years experience in UKAS accredited asbestos service work.

Applicants must have P403 and P404 modules.

The post will involve travelling and working at weekends and other unsocial hours are required from time to time. A company car is provided and a current driving licence is essential. Approved overtime and travel and subsistence costs are payable.
