CAD Technician

An Environmental consultancy in Birmingham is currently seeking a l CAD Technician to join its Engineering Geology skill group in its Nottingham office.

Your duties in this post will be to prepare drawings, graphical analyses, 3-D visualisation and earthwork balances as well as geo-environmental data handling and document control.

Site monitoring (simple setting out, sampling/testing, checking) will also be required.

Preferably you will have a level of training and a qualification compatible with proficient CAD use and an understanding/interest in geology and construction. An A Level in geology and/or an engineering related subject would also be useful.

It is essential that applicants are competent and efficient in the use of CAD (ideally AutoCAD). You will need to have an understanding of design processes and be capable in the use of Microsoft Office software, especially Excel and word.

The successful candidate will be an interested, proactive and intelligent individual who preferably will have a full UK driving licence.
