My client is a global consultancy developing an increasing presence within the UK where it employs over 100 consultants, scientists and engineers. At its eastern office based in Essex, the company specialises in the provision of advisory and research services in Town and County Planning, Environmental Impact Assessment, Waste Management, Contaminated Land Assessment and Ecological Survey and Evaluation.

As part of my clients expanding programme in the UK they are seeking to appoint a noise consultant. The successful candidate will have a substantial experience in the field of environmental acoustics and will have a proven track record in managing and delivering projects of all sizes. The position will involve work in the following areas:

- Industrial noise;

- Occupational noise and vibration;

- Environmental noise impact assessment;

- Construction noise and vibration;

- Transportation noise;

- Planning and noise;

- Project Management; and

- Business Development.

Contemporary and in depth experience across a wide range of environmental acoustic projects is an essential pre–requisite.

The successful candidate should also be self-motivated, suitably qualified and have good communication skills. A current driving licence, good IT skills and a willingness to travel and work outside of office hours are also required.
