Job: Marine / Freshwater Scientist, Resource Group Limited

Working as part of a growing team, the post will involve taking the lead as Project Manager on small to medium sized coastal and marine projects as well as acting in support of senior colleagues on larger projects.

Making an active contribution to project work which can be expected to include, report writing, organisation of data collecting, undertaking data collecting and ecological survey work (within personal areas of specialism), data and literature review, development of monitoring programmes.

With the Director of Advice Group, contribute to co-ordinated development of new business in Scotland

Assisting in the implementation of marketing initiatives that deliver the overall business development plan.

Represent and promote the company within the Scottish environmental market through literature produced meetings, conference and workshops.

Personal development with training and guidance within candidate's chosen specialisms

General support, as required, to the environment team in Edinburgh and throughout the UK

Report writing and presentational skills are essential.

Applicants should demonstrate excellent communication organisational and time management skills.

Proven ability to work on own initiative and also to work as part of a growing team.

Experience in the aquatic, coastal or marine environment in environmental management, assessment or consultancy with project management.and knowledge of Scotland's aquatic and coastal environment is a must
